SEAMEO stands for Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation, a regional intergovernmental organization established in 1965 to promote regional cooperation in education, science and culture among Southeast Asian countries.

SEAMEO has 26 specialist institutions that offer various programmes and activities in different fields of education. SEAMEO also conducts learning assessment, policy dialogues, research and innovation, and capacity building to enhance the quality and relevance of education in the region.
